Breaking: Auctiva Now Charging $
28 May 2009
I've enjoyed using Auctiva but after 4 years they are going to a "charging" platform....which is understandable that a company may need to make more money, but with all the other crunches on my margins in every direction ---- it's now a deal breaker.

Are there any other platforms out there that are similar but more cost effective?

2 things of most importance to me:

1. Scheduled Listings
2. Image Hosting/Insertion

Hi there,

Please give AuctionLinc.com a try. We offer listing templates, image management, scheduling and Endicia shipping integration at a nominal flat fee of 6.95. We also synchronize your listings automatically from eBay to offer smooth migration of existing sellers.

Has anyone used www.auctionlinc.com? What is your opinion as an alternative to Auctiva?

Are there any free or nearly free ebay listing software that you would recommend? Web based preferred.
Thank you.

There are a handful of free web-based eBay listers but they are either specialist applications (Ztail) or low volume (vFlyer).

There is a little more choice for free desktop eBay listers, e.g. Turbo Lister, Supreme Auction.

For low-cost listers there is The Seller Sourcebook (web-based, $8 per month), inkFrog (web-based, $10 per month), Vendio Platform (web-based, free webstore, $10 per month + transaction fees), or SpoonFeeder (desktop, from $20).

Hope that helps!

**** EDIT: Vendio FREE FOR Auctiva USERS THROUGH 2009****

News just in from AuctionBytes:

AuctionBytes wrote:

The Vendio Platform... will be completely free for Auctiva users through the end of the year, and will cost $10/month with no commission fees for the full year, 2010. The Vendio platform allows sellers unlimited listings on eBay and Amazon and also includes the company's Vendio Store offering, which is currently free for all users. The offer includes 2 GB of images (and unlimited free images for Vendio Store), templates and scheduling.

Hi. I have been using Auctiva and will be sunk by the charges. I list in the UK and Vendio is not yet supported. Is there any other listing agent that works in the UK.

Try AuctionSplash. It's a great program which covers Auctiva's functionality and is free.

I have approx 2500 active listings, most in the ebay store. Any recommendations on a solution for me? Free is always best. Turbo Lister is not an option.

AuctionSplash would work for you too. It is designed as a robust tool for professional sellers even though users enjoy it at all levels.

As it's free you can always try it and see how you get on. If you have any questions on whether it will do what you need, the support team is always too available support@auctionsplash.com.

Thanks Sophie. I took a peak at the home page and FAQ's. Can you tell me why it advertises savings over Ebay fees of $18.75/month? That was based on a low volume lister.

Second question...does it allow for scheduling? That was one of the nicest Auctiva features.

No problem. It saves on Ebay fees because you can have up to eight pictures, all free of charge.

Yes, you can do scheduled listings although you need to keep your computer on.

Re: AuctionSplash
I do a lot with EBAY MOTORS and currently AuctionSplash does not support that venue. Being free, I did download the software and it looks pretty straight forward. I prefer a web based program as it provides a lot more flexibility to work anywhere and on any number of computers. I must have missed it but I didn't see anyway to backup and restore listings so that I could work on different computers should I desire it.

Re: Vendio
I contacted Vendio with a series of questions that I needed answered. With good response time, someone did in fact call me around noon. One regarded EBAY MOTORS. Their free until the end of 2009 and $10/month for 2010 does NOT apply to EBAY MOTORS. They told me they may have some older prorgram that may work for me and they were going to call me back. Still no answer.

Any other solutions out there???
