Bad Luck With Linnworks
27 Sep 2014
I have been with Linnworks for about a month now, and already I'm looking for a new inventory management system. Several issues have occurred within the past week. (1) After an update to the multi-variation capability, the inventory levels stopped syncing with my BigCommerce store. They only synced with my Ebay and Amazon stores. Linnworks corrected that issue within 24-48 hours. (2) Today, after signing into LinnLive, the software that is used to list items directly onto Ebay, the inventory that was listed had been erased. The information disappeared, however this disappearance doesn't appear to have affected the actual listings on Ebay. This issue still hasn't been resolved.

I'm just afraid that after every patch, another configuration or operation will just fall apart. Linnworks simply appears very unstable. I'm especially afraid of using such an unstable platform during the holidays.

Has anyone had any luck with their multi-channel inventory management system?

Hi

from what I've found out it (Linnworks) seems like the best of a really really bad bunch.

My fulfillment center use optmia - they managed to set ALL my stock levels to 0 the other day.

I am currently considering opting in for linnworks and BigCommerce - i'm worried that i'm just signing up for a load more problems.

Linnworks is definitely the best of a bad bunch. I also read another business owner say the same thing recently. I did research the last couple of days, and I really can't find anything else. I also had other people, who help me with product listings, discourage me from getting another system. Certain things like (1) multiple images per variation on Ebay (2) multi-user login (so employees or contractors can upload information to Linnworks) (3) sync frequency (4) integration with my Ebay HTML listing template (my template is complicated and uses javascript and PHP) and (5) price (of course other companies can do custom integrations for a hefty price tag) caused me to not be able to deal with any other inventory management system.

So, I'm stuck. Hopefully there's a point at which Linnworks will become more stable. I guess when integrating with so many things, APIs change and customer demands change, so one thing gets fixed then another falls apart.
