What are you working to improve, fix or change in your ecommerce business at the moment?

I'm severely hearing impaired since 2010. I currently buy less than prefect N-scale locomotives on eBay, refurbish them and then resell them with one free year of service. I now have two customers outside eBay that continue to send their locomotives to me for repair.

So doing these in a professional manner has given me a new revenue stream along with having my wife involved in the process.

For us now the main issue is Logistics. So we are working now with several fulfillment centers in US to select the best provider. Going to put there the quick-selling items, that target US market. Working with FedEx to get better rates on the shipping, to improve price offer to clients. In international business it has a huge impact on the store's competitiveness.
Technologically - expand our presence to Sears, Rakuten and Google Shopping. Very interesting opportunities, due to lower seller's awareness.

And much more, but these are the most promising...

Loaded question! What I am I not working on?

1. Shipping - switching to a new shipping provider. One of the major postage providers (Stamps.com) has purchased my shipping provider - and several others, and eliminating their competitors from the platforms. As IMO, their services are not as good as competitors, I have been trying out different providers.

2. Working with a contractor to try to crack a good PLA strategy on Google. Doesn't seem real positive for lower priced products.

3. Lots of new products to be added.

4. Moving my primary site to a new platform.

Back to work...

We are launching a new user interface that makes managing listings easy. We just added the ability to manage multiple eBay accounts and multiple Amazon accounts in addition to launching support for Magento, Volusion, Etsy and Google Shopping.

The rest of April, we are working on integrations with Shopify, BigCommerce and Rakuten while expanding our open API and website template engine. Currently, our team is customizing the inventory management solution for auto/moto/marine parts dealers (fitment), clothing retailers (variations), dropshippers (vendor automation) and multiple location businesses (user permissions specified by location).

I'm currently working on managing a steady incline of sales on Amazon and trying to figure out how I can get eBay to do the same. One main feature I've been doing that I haven't as much before is looking at product sales and trends sold through FBA. In the past three months I've grown my FBA sales by 200% by doing this; so I plan on following through more thoroughly now since Amazon reserves more than half of my products as soon as I send them in.

Also my outsourcing needs new tasks. Previously, I hired a worker in the Philippines to find listings of products I sell and am not tagged on to, then email me that list of those URLs so I can piggyback on them. She has recently hit a very slow patch though so I have to try and come up with more tasks for her so I can keep giving her a steady pay.

Other than that, it's the same old same old.

Letting everyone know about a health and nutrition program that has changed our lives! The statin drug my husband is on left him with joint pain, but it is gone! I haven't had a good night's sleep in 2 years and this alone has changed my life. No pills, no remembering to take at a certain time of the day, no change in diet . It's great to be ALIVE!

Interesting about trying to increase sales on eBay. I've gotten modest increases by adding more products, but fundamentally I think eBay just doesn't have as much traffic as they used to.

I agree 100%. My eBay account has half the traffic as Amazon and makes 1/4 the amount of profit. Eight years ago that wasn't the case at all. John Donahoe has made some risky choices with eBay as well as the Chinese manufacturers flooding the site with under priced product. Everything is just kind of muddy there and it seems like I'll never get some traction from it again. It does serve it's purpose though, it makes money.. just not enough.

So, with all of the eBay changes, what's the selling plan? Expand to other channels that don't have listing fees or low enough fees that it doesn't eat into the profit? Have you explored launching your own website or do you feel it wouldn't gain enough traction? What about feeds that can lead back to your website? (Google Shopping)

@Andy I'm getting 4 the Stars to India, Argentina, Portugal, Brazil and Germany. I have created the sites, but they need translation and thats where I'm struglling. The package names and prices are slightly different per country. All the sites have been indexed by Google but I'm not done with the automatic user redirection for some of them.

At the moment I have Amazon, eBay, Amazon.ca, Rakuten (Buy.com), and my own site that sell. If I opened on another site that might just fall under an unnecessary cost. I am looking to expand to Amazon.uk and Amazon.jpn in the future though.

Started my first campaign to offer Shopping site owners a free 25 point Marketing checkup as an introduction to my new business BizzBox at bizzbox.co.uk. We will soon be offering great value e-commerce sites with personal service and full marketing support for a monthly fee.

Hi Andy,

We're currently working on adding offers to Amazon.de and Amazon.fr for all of our UK-based FBA inventory. It seems to be helping to increase our European sales
