Hi Theo, interesting question.
From the buyer's point of view, it will make it easier for them to make repeat orders. As you sell grocery (tea) I hope people would like you products and want to buy again. You should make that as easy for them as possible.
From your point of view, you would be able to connect orders to customers easily, and see each customer's buying patterns and product preferences. You can then tailor on-site promotions and emails to them (e.g. "like green tea? why not try product X?"), which should give you much better results in your marketing than blasting the same message to everyone.
