It all depends on a number of factors.

You are based in Latvia, so do you want companies that deliver to Latvia or throughout Europe ?

What line of goods do you already sell ? After all, a company specialising in toasters may not get many sales for fish tanks for example. ( A bit obscure I know but do you want to sell fish tanks, and I hope you get the idea ? ).

The problem with drop shipping is that people think that they can make money from everybody else's wholesale business. Sure, there are some companies that will help you, but we get them all the time.

" Dear 'Manager / Insert name here'
We are a fast improving company and want to sell your products.
All you need to do to improve your sales is provide us with an hourly CSV file with your stock and wholesale price and we will do the rest.
We guarantee to increase your sales'

Yeah right !!!

Drop shipping can be a way forward for sellers, but you have to sort out your target audience and market correctly. Asking for sellers in particular categories may help you. Select your target audience and then select your shippers.

As an edit to my post, in the last few days I have spoken to several other wholesalers who are in the same line as us and they have all said that they are actively reducing the number of companies that they are dropshipping for. Their reasons include:
Competition between resellers lowering price and devaluing product.
Resellers using images and descriptions to sell inferior products.
Lack of customer service / delay in responding to messages.

I am sure that there are many resellers who treat their customers and their suppliers well, but unfortunately there are many that do not.

Please forgive me if this appears rude, but if drop-shipping was that easy, do you not think I would be doing it myself ?

I am possibly one of the worst people to ask about drop-shipping as you should be able to gather from my previous post.

As you have already decided the type of products that you want to sell, I would assume that you are already aware of the products that provide the best mark up / profitability for sellers.

If this is the case, then you will have researched the market and already know of companies that sell this particular line of products and therefore those that are prepared to drop-ship for you.

If you are unsure about the products that you want to sell, then how can you efficiently answer any customer enquiries about the products ?

Drop-shipping is no longer an easy way to make money, and does require you to put in a lot of effort to make it work, rather than ask others !!!

@Bigian13 I know the products of my interest and have contacted some drop shippers. I have not used their services thus not sure how their system will work. I was just taking an opinion through this forum, if any of the group member can recommend the reliable drop shipper.

Dropshipping is a dangerous game from a customer service standpoint. You have no control over inventory availability and shipping times. Additionally, the niche you have chosen, health and beauty products, is very restricted on many sites and is a very crowded field. Plus, you face huge liability possibilities in the US for this type of product due to it being ingested or used on humans. As a consumer in the US, I'm not going to wait 6 weeks for a couple of bottles of shampoo, no matter how good the price. If I get it, and my hair falls out after using it, I'm going to be looking for a plain ticket to Latvia!

If you are serious about health and beauty products, you are much better off developing your own product brand, importing the product yourself, checking the quality, and then exporting to a warehouse in the US for sale. I'm also quite certain there are some regulatory issue you will need to work out for this type of product too.

Really agree with you.. without knowing our market of sells we could not achieve anything So decision must be taken after proper research of market and your targeted audience.

Totally agree with everything you have said. The health, safety and negligence claims that you could be faced with by inadvertently purchasing from an uncontrolled supplier could easily outweigh any profits.

@haosama3

Maybe you should not be trying to contact dropshippers but contacting the original manufacturers of quality products and investing money in stock. That way you should be guaranteed of a quality product. If you can not get the product at a price where there is margin to resell, you can either run the risk of a possibly unlicensed seller for dropshipping or look at a different type of market altogether.

Getting the right product at the right price is what matters when it comes to selling online (along with some other stuff).
