Multichannel ecommerce solution ChannelAdvisor Marketplaces has added support for the UK version of eBay's Global Shipping Program.
ChannelAdvisor sellers can now select the Global Shipping option to make their items eligible. They are also recommended to add weight and dimension information to their inventory data to help calculate accurate shipping charges for international buyers.
eBay's UK Global Shipping Programme was introduced in the Autumn 2014 seller update. It enables UK sellers to trade internationally by posting parcels to eBay's UK fulfillment center for forwarding to the buyer using a tracked international delivery service.

ChannelAdvisor has also released a new version of their Report Center to beta testing. The Report Center 2.0 Open Beta provides more control of reporting fields, custom date ranges, scheduled report delivery, report previews, new sort and filter functionality, custom currency selection and more.
Ecommerce software provider ChannelAdvisor has published the results of an independent study into multichannel ecommerce.
They surveyed over 200 US and UK online retailers, with an average of $3-$5 million in revenue in 2013. Participants were asked about topics including marketplaces, cross-border trade, and digital marketing. Key findings included:
- 84 percent of retailers sell on Amazon, and 63 percent sell on eBay.
- The retailers said the most challenging aspect of marketplace selling is competitive pricing.
- 30 percent of retailers said 21-30 percent of their sales are from international marketplaces
ChannelAdvisor CEO Scot Wingo said "It’s critical that retailers evaluate what the rest of the industry is doing so they can stay on top of innovations. Our survey results show that retailers are taking a multichannel approach to increase their exposure in every stage of the consumer's path to purchase."

The new eBay Resolution Center integration allows users to view and respond to eBay cases directly from ReplyManager. Users are also able to organize cases using tags and respond with standard replies.
The ChannelAdvisor integration allows users of both systems to access ChannelAdvisor order data from within ReplyManager. The customer's eBay ID or email address (including Amazon's anonymized addresses) is used to find orders in ChannelAdvisor and show the results in ReplyManager.
Other features of the new version include simplified creation of filtering rules and auto-responders, and a report on the average amount of time spent handling customer emails.
Multichannel management solution ChannelAdvisor Marketplaces has started automatically filing eBay disputes when sellers refund an order.
The change is in response to the new eBay Defect Rate, which assumes refunded orders have been cancelled by the seller – and are therefore defective – if a dispute has not been filed.
ChannelAdvisor will automatically create an eBay dispute for orders which meet the following criteria:
- The order has been marked as shipped.
- The refund is for the whole item value.
- There isn't already a dispute created for the order.
The change took effect on May 21 and will be retroactive for refunds submitted since May 1.
A dispute will not be created for partial refunds, as they are not treated as seller-cancelled orders by eBay.
A major update to ChannelAdvisor Marketplaces focuses on the following areas.
- Marketing changes include support for Google Product Listing Ads (PLA) Merchant Promotions and a new "Portfolio Bidder" which predicts optimal bids.
- Repricing improvements include a preview of the effect of repricing rule changes.
- Fulfillment support for multiple warehouses is improved with with the ability to prioritize distribution centers, and route orders by proximity to the customer.
- Marketplace improvements include new overselling protection, product matching technology and mobile optimization.

Marketplace management provider ChannelAdvisor has enhanced its Amazon repricing feature by using the Amazon's Subscriptions API, in their March software update.
Use of the Subscriptions API means that repricing can happen immediately, in response to competitors' price changes. ChannelAdvisor will monitor products on Amazon and reprice only when there is a change.
Users can also exclude specific competitors by name now, and will see sellers' names and FBA status in repricing reports.
The announcement was made at ChannelAdvisor's annual Catalyst Americas conference. "China is one of the largest and fastest-growing e-commerce markets in the world, and Alibaba is leading the way," said ChannelAdvisor President and Chief Operating Officer David Spitz. "Given our investments in China and cross-border trade, integrating with Tmall.com was a natural step for us and opens up new avenues of growth for our customers."
Participation in Tmall Global does not require a China business license, and orders can be fulfilled and shipped from outside China. However, sellers are required to provide a China-based product return arrangement and Chinese-language customer service.

ChannelAdvisor's February release includes support for eBay's Out of Stock Control, inventory export enhancements, and redesigned navigation.
Out of Stock Control is an eBay API feature that allows sellers to keep GTC (Good 'Til Canceled) listings live, even when the quantity remaining reaches zero. This enables sellers to replenish stock without the need to relist.
ChannelAdvisor has made a number of improvements to their export functionality to improve ease of use, accuracy and performance. Exports can now be split into separate files, shipping fields are exported accurately, and exports with failed items continue processing instead of failing the entire file.
Ecommerce software supplier ChannelAdvisor has released its financial results for 2013, showing a 26% increase in their sellers' gross sales to $4.4 billion.
ChannelAdvisor's own revenue increased 27 percent to $68.0 million, but the business made a loss for the year of $20.6 million. Average revenue per customer increased 9 percent to $30,670. Fixed subscriptions made up 67 percent of revenue, while variable (commission) subscription fees were 33 percent of revenue.
