The reality is you are trying to buy from your potential competition. Why would a wholesaler sell product to you at a lower price than they can get selling on the marketplace themselves? They would be creating their own competition while lowering their margins at the same time. That said, every large wholesale buyer has inventory they can’t move. You might be able to make inroads offering to take some of their hard to move product with good product. Then adjust your relationship over time.

I see what your concerns are. In fact, the creator of the golf shoe is doing everything on his own with only another person helping him. So, he is too busy creating the golf shoe and selling them in retail stores in Italy. So the shoemaker accepted our offer to help him bring his brand to the US. He is also willing to share the expenses that it may incur while we build his brand awareness in US.
