Gixen has won me NUMEROUS auctions over the past few years. I haven't paid for their mirror service yet, but I think I will now. Just an awesome service that asks almost nothing in return. Um, I don't know what else to post really.
I've never needed support from them, not that I would ever expect any if the service is free. If I did need help though, they do have an email line to accept support requests, which in and of itself is a very gracious thing to do.
Working in the hosting business, II know what a hassle it can be to maintain a cheap/free web service, so my hat is off to Gixen.
