hi, can anyone recommend software that will make it easier for me to automatically keep sales records info for UK tax self assessment? filling in a spreadsheet manually is NOT working well for me thanks!
Hi, yes I manually fill in the spreadsheet. It is getting quite wide now as I have columns for:
P&P (shipping) charged
Final value fee
PayPal fee (or other payment fee)
Net profit (calulated)
Invoice sent (yes/no)
Reminder sent (date)
Paid (yes/no) and payment method
Payment cleared (date)
Item sent (date)
Sent feedback (yes/no)
Received feedback (yes/no)
I am not a high volume seller so this works OK for me, but it is a little cumbersome. It is pretty effective at showing which items are outstanding. Make sure you "Freeze Panes" just below the header row, so you can see the headers when you have sold several items! If you want the spreadsheet I will put it somewhere where you can download it.
