Custom Cross-Selling Widgets on eBay?

I'm looking to build widgets for my eBay Store but I don't know where to start.

I want to have a "Bestsellers", "New Arrivals" and "Ending Soon" scrolling widgets much like the ones in this store: stores.ebay.co.uk/The-Green-Spark-Plug-Co

I would prefer to make them all in JS but I'm not sure how I can retrieve my listings so it automatically updates.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Scrolleo is nice too - free.

We also have links at the top built into our template. Both of these efforts, even though our template (we made it ourselves) isn't super great had a measurable impact on sales. Happy selling.
