Which new auction software is launching in October 2008??

There is an ad in the auctionbytes newsletter telling us to look out for a groundbreaking new auction management system that will be better than ChannelAdvisor. Does anyone know what it is or the name? Or how we can join the beta?

I would be very interested as our business is right on the verge of upgrading our listing management software and wanting to go multi-channel after Christmas.

Thing is, can they really be as good as ChannelAdvisor, Infopia etc right out of the box?

This is serious programming, needs serious VC funds and they better not promise the world only to flop when they release.

I could much rather them say its beta, in the R&D phases and plan to go after the big boys. But dont promise me the universe and give me the world.

Hope it's what it says, and less expensive! I'm using Seller Manager Pro and defiantly have outgrown it selling 400 pieces a day and having hundreds of SKU's. Grew so fast didnt have time to implement anything new.

Will be watching out for this. Do you have the link to this auctionbytes release? I'm not signed up for their newsletter.

Tiphut: I agree with you that to advertise as being better than the big guys out there is shooting themselves in the foot. Especially if they're launching now and no one's heard about them, I doubt they've gone through enough widespread beta testing...

Could well be Pierre Omidyar the man behind eBay back in 1995.

I've heard some rumours on that.

Did some research, and it looks like this launch was supposed to be AuctionHelper.

If you check out their signup page it has a planned relaunch for 'Fall 2008'
