US sales tax calculation and reporting tool TaxJar has updated their spreadsheet import feature.

A brand new screen tracks previous CSV uploads, any errors that occurred, and the transactions that were included.

US sales tax reporting solution TaxJar has enhanced its support for sales tax nexus.

The new "State by State" report separates the states in which the seller has nexus from those where the seller does not. Nexus states also include a configurable start date of when the seller first created nexus in that state.

US sales tax reporting tool TaxJar has created an add-on for web-based accounting software Xero.

The integration allows Xero users to correctly account for sales tax, creating sales tax liability accounts for each state that the seller needs to collect in. Xero is used by over 50,000 US-based subscribers.

Order management tool ShipStation has added support for the Bonanza marketplace and accounting software Quickbooks.

Bonanza is an international eBay-like marketplace founded in 2008. "Since day one, Bonanza has been focused on creating a marketplace that's easy and intuitive for sellers and buyers alike. The Quickbooks integration is provided using third-party plugin Cloud Cart Connector. "Cloud Cart Connector makes it simple to automatically sync customers, products, and orders to QuickBooks Online or desktop editions," says Joseph Anderson, President of JMA Web Technologies. "Partnering with ShipStation allows our customers to save time and money on their shipping process, too."

ShipStation competitor ShipWorks also added support for Quickbooks via Cloud Cart Connector this month.

Ecommerce order management tool ShipWorks is now compatible with popular accounting package QuickBooks.

The new integration is provided through a third party solution called Cloud Cart Connector, which synchronizes customers, inventory, products and orders with QuickBooks.

US Sales Tax reporting tool TaxJar has added support for the Magento shopping cart.

TaxJar's "Sales Tax Automation" extension for Magento calculates sales tax based on the location of the retailer or the location of the buyer, depending on the state. Magento users need to install the extension, register with TaxJar, and enter their TaxJar API token to begin using the service.

The extension is free but rate updates and automated reporting begins at $29.95 per month.

TaxJar has also released a new, easy-to-read, transactions graph for sellers, and reorganized the account management area to provide easier access to reports, billing and configuration options.

QuickBooks accounting integration tool Teapplix has added a summary export option for high volume sellers.

Sellers with more than two hundred orders per day may find that QuickBooks cannot handle exports of individual orders. Instead, the "daily summary" export creates a single order record for each marketplace and tax status.

Order lines for the same QuickBooks items are merged together, but others are kept separate, so inventory levels can still be adjusted correctly.

Teapplix QuickBooks Connector has added support for inventory items created from a combination of other items – known as "kits".

QuickBooks has limited support for kits, requiring the quantity remaining to be manually calculated. Teapplix works around the limitation within its own inventory system, providing the ability to define kits and synchronize inventory to QuickBooks.

Sales tax tool TaxJar has launched its own API, a WooCommerce plugin, and support for CSV uploads.

Ecommerce software providers can use TaxJar's Simple Sales Tax API to determine if sales tax is due on an order, and at what rate. A new TaxJar plugin for WooCommerce has already been developed using the API.

Developers can use the API for free for 30 days, then are charged depending on usage, starting at 200 calls for $9.95 per month.

TaxJar has also released a new CSV upload feature. Sellers using unsupported shopping carts or marketplaces can export orders to CSV then load them into TaxJar for sales tax calculations.

US sales tax reporting tool TaxJar has added support for stores running on the Bigcommerce platform.

TaxJar is now available as a Bigcommerce app and will automatically download sales and tax data for the last 90 days.

After the 30-day trial, TaxJar fees are bases on sales volume.

US sales tax calculation and reporting tool TaxJar has raised $600k of investment, which it will use to add new features to its platform.

The company plans to enhance their API, integrate with more shopping carts and marketplaces, and implement one-click sales tax return filing.

Order management system ShipRush now works with the cloud-based version of popular accounting tool QuickBooks.

ShipRush will automatically import invoices and sales receipts, and save tracking numbers back to QuickBooks Online.

Ecommerce management solution nChannel has released an integration with the Sage 100 software suite.

US sales tax solution TaxJar has added a report so sellers can compare sales and sales tax for all states in one place.

The report shows a state-by-state breakdown of sales and sales tax collected and can be filtered by date. Clicking a sales value in the report shows a breakdown of all of the transactions included.

A new app for fulfillment service Shipwire adds support for the popular accounting package Quickbooks.

The Cloud Cart Connector integration syncs customers, inventory, orders, and products between Shipwire and QuickBooks. It has a 7 day trial, and prices start at $49 per month.

The Cloud Cart Connector is available from the Intuit App Center.

Shipping and accounts integration tool Teapplix has a new feature called MultiChannel Inventory in beta testing.

The new feature updates inventory levels on eBay and Amazon every 15 minutes, using either Teapplix or QuickBooks as the master database. Teapplix are not charging for MultiChannel Inventory during beta testing, and existing users can opt in by changing their subscription options.

Teapplix now supports adding multiple Amazon accounts in the same country. There is no longer a limit of one Amazon account per country.

The company behind Sage accounting integration tool for marketplace sellers Tradebox has undergone a management buy out.

Changes since the buy-out include new helpdesk staff, extended helpdesk hours and an online support portal. The company has also expanded into a second office in County Durham, for the development team to work without interruption.

Tradebox previously received venture capital investment in September 2008.

Marketplace management solution nChannel will release a Sage integration in January 2014.

Ecommerce accounting tool GoDaddy Online Bookkeeping (formerly Outright) has integrated the invoicing capabilities of Ronin, a company acquired by GoDaddy in April.

Ecommerce accounting tool Outright has been rebranded as GoDaddy Online Bookkeeping.

Outright was acquired by website hosting company GoDaddy in August 2012.

A new version of UK ecommerce accounting solution Tradebox Finance Manager has been released.

Tradebox V5.7 features Sage 50 v2014 compatibility, and improvements to its PayPal and Bigcommerce integrations.

The new version only supports Sage 50 Accounts from version 15 (v2009) onwards.

New apps for hosted ecommerce solution BigCommerce provide integration with accounting packages Sage and Quickbooks.

The Bigcommerce app from Tradebox provides UK sellers with Sage integration, while eCC Cloud provides the same functionality for Quickbooks.

Tradebox is discontinuing support for old versions of Sage with the forthcoming release of Tradebox v5.7. Versions of Sage 50 before v15 and Tradebox Finance Manager before v5.4 will no longer be supported. The new version of Tradebox is due to be released in the next few months to coincide with the new release of Sage 50 Accounts 2014 (v20).

Accounting tool for online sellers Outright has had a website redesign.

Improvements include general layout enhancements, a new Sales by State report, ordering and filtering features for the contacts page, easier access to linked accounts and the ability to add receipts to entries.

The latest version of accounting integration software Tradebox Finance Manager has a new user interface design, and support for popular ecommerce package ekmPowershop.

The ekmPowershop module uses its API to provide two-way integration, allowing data to be downloaded and uploaded automatically through Tradebox.

Ecommerce system BigCommerce can now connect to QuickBooks using a third-party plug-in from Webgility.

Sellers currently using Bigcommerce's built-in QuickBooks integration will be contacted with information on how to switch to Webgility.

Webgility's software is priced from $6.95 per month for up to 50 transactions, and includes a 15-day trial.

  • Lengow is an eCommerce solution that specializes in feeding product data to a wide range of comparison shopping engines (CSEs), affiliate platforms, marketplaces and social networks.
  • SingleFeed is a product feed service from Vendio that is integrated with multiple comparison shopping engines, affiliate networks and eCommerce platforms.
  • SellerEngine is a management tool for Amazon sellers that includes barcode product entry, listings management, automatic re-pricing, inventory dashboard, email marketing, pick list and mailing label printing, and community support.
  • Easy Auctions Tracker is an Excel spreadsheet which automatically downloads transaction information from eBay, including buyer information, shipping data and fees.

Accounting solution for eBay UK sellers Tradebox has a new integration with order management software Linnworks.

The partnership enables the integration of Linnworks sales data into Sage Instant or Sage 50 Accounts via Tradebox’s Finance Manager solution, and will allow Linnworks customers to rapidly and accurately create comprehensive and individual financial entries in Sage, providing transparency and management information.

Accounting software for marketplace sellers Outright can now import Amazon data, in addition to eBay, PayPal and Etsy.

The import requires an Amazon Pro Merchant account and imports up to 90 days of data at a time.

Accounting software for eBay UK sellers Tradebox has been certified for Sage Instant and Sage 50, and has been shortlisted for a Sage Independent Software Vendor Award.

To become certified, Tradebox had to be independently tested by Verisign against a rigorous set of test conditions which ensure the software does not adversely effect Windows or Sage software.

A new version of Sage accounting add-on for marketplace sellers Tradebox Finance Manager has been made available to a limited number of customers ahead of a general release next month.

New features include support for order discounts, purchase order creation for dropshipped items, product images on pick/pack lists, improved support for Amazon, eBay and Play, and new cart integrations for Zencart, Romancart, Shopify, and 247 TopSeller.

Accounting software for eBay sellers Outright now works with crafts martketplace Etsy, and is free for Etsy sellers until the end of 2011.

Outright imports financial transactions from eBay, Etsy, PayPal and bank accounts. It can report on taxes owed, profit and loss, expense breakdown and more.

A new release of accountancy tool Outright can import both eBay and PayPal data in a single account.

Outright previously restricted sellers to importing either eBay or PayPal data, to avoid the creation of duplicate transactions. The change means that matching transactions are detected and eBay fees,  PayPal fees and shipping costs are recorded against a single sale.

Accounting tool Outright can now break PayPal data down into sales, shipping, and tax.

This enables enhanced sales tax tracking, so all taxes collected can more easily be accounted for and paid over to the authorities.

Accounting tool Outright has created applications embedded within Gmail, Google Calendar and PayPal.

The Outright application for Gmail recognises customer and supplier emails and shows a payment history on the same page, while the Google Calendar add-on shows outstanding invoices and tax deadlines.

The Outright application for PayPal is currently available to a small beta group of PayPal customers, and shows profit and loss reports within the PayPal website.

Outright have also added the ability to view daily reports.
