Bjorn Espenes, CEO of Infopia, explained "With Infopia’s Marketplace Manager Spring ’07 release, [sellers] have the tools at their fingertips necessary to put new programs in place to reach niche customers, deliver dynamic offerings, develop targeted promotions, and create a unique brand and exceptional customer experience.”
Infopia has built integration with eBay's Giving Works program into their eCommerce management solution.
The integration allows merchants using the Infopia system to incorporate charitable giving into their online business. The practice, known as "cause marketing", can attract new customers and boost revenue by enabling a percentage of a seller's eBay sales to be automatically donated to charitable organizations.
"With Infopia’s close relationship with eBay Giving Works, we know sellers will benefit from increased visibility of their listings and brand, greater customer loyalty, and higher profitability," stated Bjorn Espenes, CEO of Infopia. "This also benefits the thousands of charities participating in the program by increasing awareness and contributions from new sources. It is truly a 'win-win' situation for everyone, and Infopia is honored to be the catalyst."
ChannelAdvisor UK now enables sellers to list items and automatically donate a percentage to a charity, via the eBay for Charity program. Sellers can give as little as 10% and listings show up on eBay for Charity, and on the nonprofit MissionFish page. "eBay for Charity listings are proven to generate more bids, result in increased conversion rates and yield higher final prices (some sellers report increases of up to 40%!), but earmarking inventory for good causes can open previously closed doors at suppliers or manufacturers", says ChannelAdvisor.
