Description

Fruugo is a listing-driven marketplace, where each seller provides a full title, description and images for their products. However, listings are not branded and sellers are not named.

Sellers have the option to list their products on all 23 of Fruugo's global sites and their software can automatically translate listings into 11 different languages. Fruugo also handles overseas customer service.

It is a catalog-driven marketplace and listings have a "Buy Now" feature, displaying the seller chosen by OnBuy's algorithm. Other sellers are included lower down the product description page. OnBuy does not hold funds, so as soon as an order is received and the buyer has paid, the payment is available for sellers in their Stripe account.

The marketplace centers around the Buddy Points system, which rewards buyers for purchases they make, and sellers for receiving good feedback. With a SELLER+ account, sellers can run up to five stores and import their existing listings from Amazon, eBay and Etsy.

If accepted, sellers need to integrate with Jet.com's API. This means they will either need to use a third-party inventory management system, or create their own.
