Not really good as of now, email is the only way for any kind od support

What where the positives?

Customer service

Any negatives?

Fees

Summary

This is not a great service to use for package consolidation or domestic shipping. And if you want to use the service, you really need to get in contact with customer support by email on their business days (weekdays), since the service and site aren't automated. The only uses for the site are to keep track of the shipment and to prepare for consolidation. There are fees that aren't stated on things like the site's shipping calculator or the site itself. And it takes them anywhere from 3-4 days to a week to find a package. I wanted to use this service to ship a consolidated package into a storage facility for a cheaper price (since 1 package was better than the 10 to 15 packages that were going to be delivered), at first it was confusing that packages were not coming in the same or next day, but during November I was fine with that when I came into contact with customer support in the second email I send to them, during this time I basically had to remind them by email to check for my packages over the month, around week by the end of the month, eBox wanted to prepare for shipment when 5 delivered packages were not founded yet (and one that was being delivered in two days) and I had to remind them again. When the last two packages were delivered by the 25th, I asked to please consolidate and send the package into the storage facility by the 30th since all of the packages were delivered at that point and I've sent another package to the storage facility (the facility had a 30 day storage period and I wanted the package to be delivered before hand). They found one of the last two delivered packages by the 30th but not both, so the package couldn't be consolidated. From the 25th, it took about 7 business days (11 days) just to find the last package. When it was time to consolidate and shipped the package, it took them 3 days to consolidate, by then they didn't send an email saying the PayPal invoice is sent, but just the PayPal invoice alone. After when I paid the invoice the same day and during their business hours, I sent an email saying I paid for it, but they told me "The items recently delivered have not been paid for which will be required before we can ship out.", afterward I sent back proof that I paid for them (and if they were to use the PayPal invoice link that sent to me, they would've seen that paid for the package), they didn't respond back or to at least check the invoice the next day, it took about 2 business days (4 days) just to see my payment and shipped the consolidated package the same to next day. From the 30th, it took them half of a month just to find the last package, consolidate, and notice my payment. The package was delivered to the storage facility 4 days after the storage period ended. eBox doesn't tell you about the other fees, the shipping calculator is accurate (the shipping calculator said $21 and the shipping price was $23) but there are other fees I didn't know about. when all of the packages were found, I went to the website to prepare for consolidation, the invoice the eBox site was giving me is different than the PayPal invoice. At first, it was $45 + $8 for fees ($53), after when I told them I want to pay online and what were the fees for, since it said "Repack & Consolidate" 2 times in the total quantity of 3. I never got an answer, but I did get the PayPal invoice three days later, in which the price was changed to $75, $23 for the shipping but there are also "Repack / Consolidate Items", "Processing Fee" and "Materials" for around $12 ($4 + $5 + $3) which is fine, but there one fee that wasn't on the site's invoice, "Inbound Receiving: Packages" which is around $2.89 pre-package, this lead the price of the fee being more pricy than the shipping at around $37.57, making it $75 to ship the package. At this point, the shipping price was too much. Not only the PayPal invoice was more expensive than the site's own invoice (somewhere around $22 more), but it also would've been cheaper if just sent all of the 10 -15 packages to the storage facility itself, unlike the eBox, the storage facility they were sending to is only $4 - $5 pre-package and they find the package on the same day or the next day, it would've been only around $24 cheaper, I'm sorry after waiting in business days a full week for my last package, and 20 days from the last package was delivered the service of "Inbound Receiving: Packages" is overpriced, and I thought that was a trade-off at first, like a "cheaper service for a more lax and slower service", which is why I didn't mind in November at first. For new customers, after Dec. 1, 2022, there going to be a $25 Storage Minimum & $10 Monthly Membership, which I don't think it should cost that much with this service. It's for a "costs increase by over 30%" and "system and service upgrades", but the business has a long way to improvements, at least there was some customer service with email but again it's required and it's only on the weekdays.

Terrible customer service

What where the positives?

Good when it was good few years ago

Any negatives?

No customer services Not returning calls or emails Will loose your items and will not return calls or answer emails

Summary

I have been using American ebox for close to 4 years, good when it was good, but now it is nothing but pathetic. They lost my inventory in their warehouse worth more than $2000, left several voicemails, talked to a real person twice and sent several emails, sadly no calls got returned back, no response to my emails and I felt disrespected as a customer. This is the second time I am going through inventory lost by this company. The first one took more than 3 months before they finally said my goods worth more than $8000 were sitting in their warehouse all the while, we had lots of back and forth whereby they denied it wasnt in their warehouse. One time, they shipped items that are not mine to me, I made them aware thru email, they said they will look into it but no one ever got back to me till date, so someone must be missing their items that get shipped to me. Save yourself from the hassles that I am going to right now dealing with Americanebox, take your business elsewhere. I am a business owner myself and I understand what customer service is but this guys have no business with customer service
