    Ease of Use


    Nonexistent Support

    What were the positives?

    Up until the end of 2018, it all went well and smooth with SDL. It was easy to use, they were reliable and offered good translations.

    Any negatives?

    By the end of 2018, I received an email from my contact person saying she was leaving the company and presenting the new contact person for my company.
    Shortly after, my company moved and I emailed this new contact person asking her to change our address since I couldn't find a way to do it myself. I never heard from her. I tried to call SDL only to realize they hide their support number and you have to really dig deep to get it, so I first filled in a contact form. I never heard from them. I tried to find the support number again and when I finally found it, I asked them to change our address - they never did. Months later I called again and was told that the person who was supposed to be our contact person had left the company months ago and no one knew who was in charge of our account now. I asked the person on the phone to change our address, she said I had to write an email. I did. Long story short, to this day, they never updated our address and there's a project I sent in months ago and no one ever contacted me about it nor did they process said project.

    Needless to say, we're not working with SDL anymore.


    I don't know what happened by the end of 2018 but my experience with SDL during 2019 has been the worst experience I've ever had with any service provider.

    Useless! Did not deliver and no explanation

    Looked promising. Very easy to order on their professional looking website

    Submitted 500-word project (English to Spanish translation) on a Thursday for delivery the following Tuesday at 5pm.

    Deadline passes. Nothing

    23 hours later still nothing and no response from "Customer Support", despite 3 requests for an update.

    I cancelled the order and stopped payment. Useless clowns.

    I would not trust them if I were you. Pick another service with more reliability if you want the job done at all.
