Any company using this service should be required to disclose such before an unsuspecting customer makes a purchase. I believe I could walk the package across the country in less time than it takes for this process to deliver it to me, and I would at the very least know where it is every step of the way. Go to the middle of nowhere. Gaze upon the night sky. Observe the vast number of stars, and wonder at the fact that they pale in comparison to the number of negatives I could post here.

Ordered a box for a ring in mid to late November, visions of a New Year’s proposal to my girlfriend dancing in my head. Here I sit, New Year’s three days in the rearview, my beautiful custom box sitting in a dingy warehouse 300 miles away. This service is an absolute obscene joke. This is the second time I’ve been unlucky enough to have this heaping pile of garbage forced upon me. Both times, my package has sat for weeks, waiting to be handed off to USPS. They wait until there’s enough UPS originated mail to justify picking it up, which takes an inexcusably long time. Thankfully I haven’t had it happen to me (yet! It still hasn’t been picked up!), but from my understanding, their loss rate is far higher than other shipping services. Overall it’s worse than worthless. Your package may eventually arrive, but it will take far longer than you had planned. Seriously, if you order something and the only option is this, email the seller and ask to have it sent through a different service. Worst they can do is say no, and if it costs a little extra, it’s worth it. If not, take your business elsewhere unless it’s something you don’t care to receive in the timeframe you expected, if at all. I could go on for days but I won’t. Just take this as a warning if you will. Mail innovations is 100%, utterly, laughably useless.

my mom ordered a package back around november 24. it was shipped and expected to arrive December 1st. at the time of this review, it is December 20th. We have been tossed around between the shipper, UPS, and USPS multiple times, with no results. we are told the same exact thing each time, and UPS refuses to launch an investigation into this corrupt service. if a shop requires you to use this shipment method, find your item elsewhere. this service is not worth the hassle...and I will be leaving a BBB complaint.

I will never again order from this retailer that chooses to use this suck service to deliver their product. First disappointment was they processed the custom item in China versus US facilities. As folks have said, it took less time so far for the item to travel across and from China to New York versus the time it has spent being handed to the UPS Mail Innovations Expedited (and lord what a oxymoron that term is for this service !!!) and waiting to go from the UPS MI facility 65 miles from my home awaiting to finally show that its been given to the USPS folks for final delivery. As say, will never buy from this vendor again, will buy from US company that uses better delivery services....

No tracking for several days. Expected delivery date wrong for several days. Transfer to USPS took several days. Everything is negative about this shipping process.

I ordered an item 8/6. I was notified it shipped on 8/7, then no more tracking updates until 8/14. The package was then a 2-1/2 hour drive from my address waiting for transfer to USPS. My package then went to 5 miles from where I live and it took 2 days to get to my post office. It is supposed to be delivered today but how many times have I heard that?!!! I could have gotten this faster via Pony Express. I am sorely disappointed and won't order from a company that uses this shipping process.

BEWARE of UPS Innovations

UPS Innovations is a TERRIBLE subcontractor many internet based companies are using! I spoke with my local Postmaster and they have been having problems NATIONWIDE FOR MONTHS with NO corrections made by UPS Innovations after being made aware of the problems on many occasions! They incorrectly track packages so that they appear to have been delivered to the USPS and the items are just waiting for USPS to "accept" the packages. Meanwhile, the USPS never received the package! They are forced to scan an acceptance tracker for large bags filled with packages and don't know if the packages are actually there that are on the list until the shipment they received is processed. They have no way of contacting local UPS Innovations offices to track the missing items. Many items are either shipped to incorrect other facilities or they disappear completely! PLEASE, reconsider before subcontracting with UPS Innovations! I for one will nolonger purchase from retailers that use them! I now have not received 3 packages from 2 different stores because no one can locate my items just this month alone!

I despise the fact that this is the only way you can get some things shipped from e bay. The shipping takes so long. My package has been stuck on arrived at destination hub for over a week. It got there from China In three days. I would pay for a better shipping option but you don’t get the choice. So here we will stay in shipping limbo for most likely weeks. I paid for expedited shipping from the retailer. I have been trying to track 3 packages from them for almost a month now. Expedited shipping? I hate to see what regular shipping is. I have repeatedly called the post office and keep being told that they can't tell me where the packages are and to call back in a couple of days, which I have done 4 times now. Just today I found out my packages were mailed through Mail Innovations. I called UPS and they claim the packages were given to the post office. The post office claims they don't have them. This is more than frustrating! If this Mail Innovations is in business to irritate and frustrate people, and just plain test their patience, they are doing a bang-up job. Every time my packages were scanned, they would sit there for days. Now they are just plain "missing in action." No one involved in this has a clue what's going on or where my packages are. Two weeks ago my packages were scanned at a location 1 hour and 20 minutes from my home. Today, only God knows where they are. This service is not a "service." It is a disservice to anyone who uses it I am so utterly dumb founded by this whole ordeal. I have decided that I am no longer ordering anything on line to be mailed to me. I will stick to buying things in person at retailers. This is just too much!

UPS gets the package to the USPS Main PO in Harrisburg, PA and the package just sits there, I had one sit at the Main PO for ten days before they delivered it. I'm now waiting on another package thats been at this same PO for over six days now without any movement. Its just an awful system.

If you want to wait 3 weeks for a package that should arrive in one day, use this shipping method. I ordered from a company 2 hours away. The package shipped and went two states to the right, then one state above then back two hours away to the original city I ordered from and then finally to my city where it sat for a day and then finally out for delivery. All that travel and sit time took three weeks. I can’t imagine it saves that much money for the company to use this shipping method.

In theory, this is a "partnership" between UPS and USPS where UPS ships your package to the post office & the post office delivers it to your home - but the "innovation" is actually that it allows the shipper, UPS, and USPS to take turns blaming each other for losing your stuff. Do. Not. Recommend. Use UPS. Or use USPS. If you actually want your stuff, do NOT use this weird Frankenstein shipping partnership. Before I finally had to drive to the post office to get my package, I had this DM conversation with UPS: UPS: We are really sorry for the inconvenience you have been having with this service level, remember that UPS offers more services that do not involve the Post Office as the last-mile carrier. Me: I don't understand why UPS offers "Mail Innovations" at all, knowing that their partner will drop the ball on actual delivery. :-( UPS: We are really sorry for that, we have many other services that can be used, so for future packages, you can ask your sender to use another service level.

It's a miracle this service exists. I've given up on the package ever getting here. I've had things shipped from different countries several times much faster. All I ordered was a coffee mug that I might as well have gone to Walmart for.

Honestly who ever came up with this service should be fired. I place a international order and it left China quicker then it took to get to my post office once it reached the US. Why is my package going from UPS to USPS and not one idiot can scan your package properly so you know where it is. Could be because they don't want you to see it's just sitting in a warehouse for days before another degenerate decide to put it on a truck. Constantly having issues with USPS as every American knows they've gotten real bad and UPS has now decided to hold their hand🙄 God help us all.

None, whatsoever for the recipient. It Maybe cheaper for the shipper. But, given the delays, lost packages, lack of customer support for receivers, it might be better to shop from a different company altogether than someone who uses UPS mail innovations.

Any negatives?

Not a day definite service. Packages are usually sitting in distribution centers for weeks before reaching USPS. Packages are lost during the handoff to USPS quite often, or the label is “unreadable” according to USPS. Recipients do not have any customer support, only shippers do.

Summary

It took less Time to have packages shipped and delivered along with customs inspection from Netherlands, Italy, and India to US than it took for UPS mail innovations to handoff a package to USPS shipped from Arizona to Washington. That should sum it all up.

The support number bounces to the same voicemail no matter the option you choose and no one calls back. UPS is no help. Their new motto seems to be "pass the buck". It was labeled as in my city pending acceptance. Postal clerk searched the building. Not there. After 3 hours of phone calls UPS won't take the complaint and want me to contact the seller. Kept saying that this was the service purchased by seller...and couldnt seem to understand that the package had been sitting in their "locked truck at the post office" for ten days. From now on we check delivery partners. I won't even ship with UPS after their horrible service. Manager refused to even take complaint and instead gave me address for their legal department.

Updated tracking info tells us absolutely nothing expect that our package is coming though UPS Innovations and that it hasn't even left yet. No projected delivery date. Was supposed to be here for Christmas and we (wrongly, apparently) believed that 3 weeks would be ample time for it to arrive in time. I could go on, but I'll stop there because my blood pressure is going up. I can feel it.

Two days ago, we finally got notified that package was coming through Innovations "expedited" (kind of ironic, seeing as how it's already been 19 days) but the package still shows as not even having left yet. I walk with a cane and I am 100% positive that I could have walked to wherever the package is sitting on a shelf collecting dust, on foot and in the current subzero temperatures, to pick it up and gotten back home by now. That's pretty sad when you consider that they have trucks and do this for a living. Yes, I am being facetious because this package was SUPPOSED TO BE A CHRISTMAS GIFT and it's very apparently not going to be here in time for that. Way to go, people. Nothing quite like getting major disappointment for Christmas. Do better. Please. For the mental health and sake of everyone that has paid you, with money, for your services. I feel like both the sender and myself got taken for a ride, unlike my package. And to be clear, I use the term "services" very loosely in this description. People don't like to wait unnecessarily for what they've paid for and should be able to rightfully expect to receive it within a reasonable length of time. So many. Shipping speed is bad, but worse is that all three packages from three different vendors appear to be lost, even though the tracking info says it's at the post office. none - absolutely none. Waiting for Christmas presents, 90 minutes from home and now they are in some other city and 'pending acceptance'. Fanatics blames UPS and UPS blames the Post Office. Nice racket they have.

A package I ordered from China got to the U.S. faster than the package has moved from Rossford, OH to western NY. Tracking stays stagnant for 2 weeks with no further movement. Tracking says it's one place near my home one day and then it's in Ohio the next (going backwards).

Everything about this place sucks. It should not even exist. Cheaper? I doubt it since if your retailer uses this service for delivery you will never buy anything from them again

Terrible way to transport anything.

Extremely late delivery. I could have driven to the place of origin to get my package in less time. Took 14 days to receive a small package, and it STARTED OUT in the DESTINATION CITY, went back and forth to 3 different regional places in opposite ends of the state. WORTHLESS service. Will demand FedEx for all future shipments.

Still waiting on a Christmas gift that should have arrived at least a week ago. Supposedly, the package is at the post office here in my city, but no one can verify that.

Summary

Think twice before purchasing from anyone who uses this service for shipping, particularly if you are expecting your purchase to arrive within a certain time period, or arrive at all, for that matter.

Items go missing, no tracking updates, SLOW, no customer support, ITEMS GO MISSING!

Summary

There is no worse shipping method then innovations. The name sounds like an attraction at Disneyworld and makes you wait even longer! Ive had items shipped via innovations 2, one took over 3 weeks the other disappeared and neither UPS or USPS knows where it is or can help. UPS needs to go back to delivering their own packages and cut out the second party....

The problem with UPS "Mail Innovations" is it's only innovative from the standpoint of its cost to UPS. It may drop the price for the shipping customer, but all this at the cost of the delivery customer who ends up with little information on what planet the package is on. What will happen is, when UPS hands the package off to USPS, USPS likely won't scan it at that point, because they'll often skip that step if they can-- at which point you've got no further information on it until it arrives somewhere where a parcel scan is necessary, likely only once it's delivered. So from the time UPS hands it off until it arrives (IF it does), it goes into a black hole. And in California, it appears that innovations packages will go to UPS in San Leandro, who will then transport them to Eureka, CA to hand it off to USPS, and Eureka is in the far north corner of the state, a couple of hundred miles north of San Leandro, which could easily be further away from the target address. USPS is then expected to take it from there-- at which point you can only hope it'll arrive and have no indication of when or where it is in the system. And then, who blames who if it doesn't arrive? Sellers that choose to use this method will then end up with a lot of negative reviews due to long delays or missing packages. Is it really worth it?

I don't know who the genius is that came up with this lame idea, but they need to be fired. If you as a seller are so dang lazy that you can't be bothered to take something to the post office, please close your business down. This shipping service adds DAYS to the delivery time. If an item is actually mailed at a post office, it will arrive a minimum of 3 days faster than if you use the lame UPS Mail Innovations (and there is NOTHING innovative about this service AT ALL). UPS isn't even a good delivery service with their own system, and this one makes them look even worse. Do yourself and your customers a favor and stop using this service. The postal service WILL pick packages up at your business for free - just like UPS. The difference is that there will be no delay or added shipping time, because lame UPS is not involved.
