I have years experience utilizing online shipping services and find that Shippo outshines them all.

What where the positives?

Ease of website navigation is of primary importance; right up there with Shippo's aggressive pricing structure. Data entry, changes to shipping orders, accuracy in billing and package tracking are seamless on the website. Response time from customer service representatives is remarkable, pleasant and with ideal outcomes. I am extremely satisfied and have recommended Shippo to other business owners, including my brother and sister. Thank you to each team member that makes it possible for me to have the hassle free experience when utilizing your service.

Any negatives?

I would prefer to be billed within 24 hours but, comparatively speaking, this is a minor issue.

What where the positives?

Rates are good and anytime I had any questions, the support staff was very helpful

Any negatives?

The summary of shipments could include all the info such as Order no, Name and or address of the shipment to be able to clearly identify the shipment when reviewing the billing invoice. Also I had to create a brand new account just to be able to get the Shippo discounts back since I was unaware and it is not stated anywhere by adding my own shipping accounts, the Shippo shipping is not able to be added back in or be able to access it. There needs to be a clearer understanding of this such as a pop-up window when you add an account which will negate the Shippo rates and service.

Overall I am satisfied with the services. I like the integrations which captures the sales directly from my order page on my website.

Can be a little confusing to navigate at times, but support is excellent if you have questions

What where the positives?

Rodrigo, the agent who helped me, understood exactly what I was describing, even w/ my newbie type of articulation regarding the issue. He quickly figured out what I meant and provided a solution and allowed me to test my issue before purhcasing the wrong label.

Any negatives?

Not really any negatives so far. All a learning experience w/ helpful and efficient support options.

What where the positives?

These people are the greatest to work with. If there’s ever an issue, which there seldom is unless I did something wrong, they promptly help me fix it. There’s nothing better than getting huge discounts on shipping.

Any negatives?

No negatives to report. UPS messed up and broke something (which happens sometimes) and these people jumped in and helped fight for me.

Summary

I couldn’t ask for a better company to work with. I’ve spent 30 years in management so I know a lot about business. And so does Shippo.

Amazing Support

What where the positives?

Excellent Service. It was extremely helpful to be able to have a phone conversation. My rep was extremely helpful and patient. To solve the issue we ended up having to delete my account and recreate it. You can imagine the frustration and time it would take if a problem like this was diagnosed with emails or chats going back and forth. The rep was always timely in responding to questions. Having support when you need it is when you can determine if a company really supports their clients.

Any negatives?

It would be great if they could use some type of screen share so that it would be a bit faster to trouble shoot.

Shippo beats them all!

What where the positives?

I've used every shipping option available on the internet; Shippo beats them all, in all ways. Customer service is amazing (Thanks, Grace!), the website is very easy to negotiate, the pricing is straight forward with no hidden fees. I also like their billing options! This is a technologically advanced company with old-fashioned, honest customer service. I'm a believer.

Not all the features on the site are intuitive. I have had some trouble figuring things out including how to get immediate help with a problem via chat. When I have had to wait to get a problem solved it has been frustrating and cost money. Eventually I believe all the problems have been solved however.

Very Useful, Great Discounts, Great Customer Service

What where the positives?

-the discounts are really good. -great customer service. -intuitive web interface -automation can be powerful if set up correctly and order info imports (see negatives)

Any negatives?

-cannot import some order info from Square/Weebly (order weight). -aggragated shipment info/analytics is not available... can't see at a glance when packages were delivered (I think this is a simple UI change, because hovering over tracking info does show date, I just think the delivered date should have its own column for quick viewing).

Outstanding customer service support

What where the positives?

Stephanie was flawless to work with through some unfortunate UPS claims! She was on top of things, and if I ever needed an update I received a quick and friendly response. I feel lucky she was the person to handle my issues, and I can’t image the experience being any better!

Any negatives?

On the platform side, I ideally wish the "fulfilled" orders would move to another page, but I've learned to work with it.

Great customer service

What where the positives?

I had gotten a promo code for a 6 month free trial of the PRO service which showed on the website that it was active but the billing page said the next billing for the PRO subscription was the next month which seemed to indicate the trial that was being applied was for the default 30 day trial. Rodrigo took the time to explain that yes, the "next billing date" was the next month but for each month of the 6 month trial an offsetting credit would also be applied...so I was getting the extended trial but the way it worked wasn't very clear.

Any negatives?

EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO USE ON A MOBILE DEVICE!! I previously used PirateShip but they only do USPS and I had some larger products were cheaper to ship UPS or FedEx. Shippo allows me to see the prices for all three companies along with the estimated shipping time on one screen so I can choose the best option for each shipment. The downside is trying to use Shippo's website on my phone is extremely difficult as it extends WAY off the screen of my phone which is what I normally to do all my shipping. Both PirateShip and Ship Station have mobile apps which make them very easy to use on a small mobile device screen. Shippo needs to STEP UP their game.

Summary

To be usable Shippo must be used on a PC due to lack of a mobile device compatible website or mobile app. This will require me to either move my office computer, which is also used for accounting, correspondence, updating the website and inventory designing and customizing products, etc., out to my dusty woodshop OR take all off the packages into the office (some are 50"x30" and 25 pounds) to ship them the carry them back to the shop for the carrier to pick them up. I like everything else about Shippo. Integrating with Etsy, Ebay and my website was very easy and using the Shippo carrier accounts gives discounts on some shipments better than the company discounts I was previously getting. Unfortunately the lack of usability on my phone may prevent me from using Shippo for the majority of my shipping.

Affordable, Easy to use Shipping Solution

What where the positives?

I needed an easy to use solution for shipping out parts and hardware to our clients. I vetted 4 different online shipping systems and found shippo to be the most intuitive and easy to use. I love that it gives me multiple shipping options from multiple carriers, and that i can also add additional carriers.

Any negatives?

The ability to create an internal customer list would be helpful for companies like mine that dont connect to an e-commerce system. You have to manually type in addresses for all manual order entries. Not a big deal, but that address book would be super helpful...hint hint Shippo developers 😉

Once you get the hang of this product it is a breeze to use.

What where the positives?

Simple to use. Keeps track of your orders both filled and unfilled so you know right where you are. The Support is incredible. Even when you have to leave a message, they contact you same day.

Any negatives?

Only thing I would like to see improved would be a separation of pounds and ounces in the weight of packages to be more accurate with rates rather than rounding up.

A bright star among the services we use.

What where the positives?

Shippo is an easy-to-use service that greatly helps our business process and saves us tons of money. This morning we ran into our first issue (a technical issue with the user interface). We opened a live chat and received an immediate response from a knowledgeable customer service representative. She had our problem solved within minutes. No other online service that we work with comes even close to that kind of responsiveness.

Excellent Service. The best I've used.

What where the positives?

Ease of use. Love the ease of being able to compare shipping rates without losing input. Support is never far away and concerns are answered promptly and accurately. Records of completed shipments are easy to navigate. Ability to create return shipping labels between countries. This is so helpful and I know other service that has this function. Ability to create labels which aren't associated with a venue. It's possible to use Third Party Insurance direction from shippo. Refunds have been simplified and no longer take phone calls etc. to follow up.

Any negatives?

The process of cancelling a label and receiving a refund has improved greatly, but could perhaps still be a little faster. However, my nervousness related to this process may be a leftover from previous experiences (not just with this service but with all of them).

What where the positives?

Great service. Easy to use. I’ve been in the mail order business for long time and have used many more expensive and complicated services. I really like this interface and generally am able to use it without any problems.

Any negatives?

The search feature should be more intuitive. I often have to try to search two or three times before finding what I am looking for. For instance, if I am looking for an order by customer’s name, it should show up whether it is an open order or already shipped. But it doesn’t do that. That’s a little bit frustrating.

What where the positives?

These days it seems impossible to get help from companies. If I need something, no matter how small, Shippo is prompt in calling me back and returning emails. It has made a big difference for me. My last call came in 2 minutes after I submitted a support request and I can't be more grateful for this sensitivity to customer needs. Grace A. (my service rep) was amazing. In addition, I can't beat these shipping prices anywhere else and the software just WORKS

What where the positives?

The staff are all really helpful and responsive. I like that the website is pretty easy to navigate and use once you get the initial hang of it. I like printing in batches, and love the integration with orders from my ecommerce platform.

Any negatives?

Yes, you can only print 100 labels at a time. I have to go back in and print labels if I am printing over 100. I wish that there was a bigger limit to that. I have also had a few instances where labels print out for a customer with another customers information on them. It's happened twice now, and I have had to retrieve the orders from other people. Luckily both have let me know that they got an order that wasn't for them, because it was nearly impossible trying to figure out who it was for based on looking at my shipments tab. I also have to manually create labels for anyone over seas. They don't work when printing in batch label settings.

Summary

I like it overall and have been with the company for over a year now as my source for shipping labels. I will continue to use them and stay with the company, however there is room for some improvement stated above about the negatives. Overall it's great and affordable.

Great pre and post service! Prices are competitive and reasonable.

What where the positives?

Website seems easy to use. If you have questions, better to have a call back vs live chat as I feel that the live chat people are quite slow to respond.

Any negatives?

Live chat was quite slow to respond. Some of the UI is a bit off. When I printed a label it duplicated my Commercial Invoice (twice the same items and doubled the amount).

Summary

As per my above negative, a quick call to Shippo Support (call back) took only 15 mins and the rep Rodrigo was friendly and helpful. He resolved the issue right away and walked me through it just to make sure everything printed out okay.
