How to Calculate Amazon FBA Fees?

To illustrate, we’ll use the table below to guide you through a full scenario and calculate the fee. Let’s say your store focuses on kitchen goods, and you just sold a Cuisinart CSB-175SVP1 Smart Stick hand blender for $49.95.

Type of feeDescription
SellerIf you’re on an Individual Plan, you’ll start with $0.99 to the fee total. However, if you’re on a Professional Plan — recommended if you sell over 40 items per month — you’d calculate this later in your monthly average and include the $39.99 monthly fee.
ReferralAmazon charges a referral fee percentage based on the product category of your item. Our blender item is in the Home & Kitchen category, which has a referral fee of 15% with a $0.30 minimum.
FulfillmentAmazon determines fulfillment fees based on the weight and dimensions of your packaging. You can determine the shipping charge based on this table. For our blender example, kitchen and Housewares items go for $4.49 + $0.50/lb, so you’d insert a shipping charge of $5.99.
Other FeesAmazon has a host of other additional fees you’ll may need to add to your final total including:
– Inventory fees
– High-volume listing fees
– Refund administration fees
– Advertising and more!

With all data inserted, we see a fee estimate of $9.09 with a profit margin of $44.91. From here, you would only need to include any additional fees that fall under the ‘Other’ category to get the true cost.
